As the year begins and the march for a sustainable, clean future is still gaining momentum, there are plenty of unique investments and projects under 1Q’s belt. We started this year by experiencing a shock across continents with the United State’s Delta Force entering Venezuela to capture dictator Nicolas Maduro. This move alone was met with high uncertainty over the country’s future and resources. Oil executives stated that the country’s crude is dirty and uninvestable (here at Zaku we think the opposite). This decision caused tension between oil companies and Trump’s administration, all while there was no official government in Venezuela and Trump was speaking of “running the country”, it was clear to see forceful acts by the military arising.
